S. Ford | Gray Whale Census | Point Vicente Interpretive Center | Jan., 30th 2024 Listening to the grief of the land and sea.

Sarah Ford is a creative healing counselor, spiritual care provider (Buddhist M.Div.), and meditation teacher supporting artists, performers, and caregivers facing stress, grief, identity crisis, and transition. Rooted in insight meditation and trained in relational mindfulness, Sarah offers one-to-one guidance for those navigating touring schedules, creative block, anxiety, loss, and addiction recovery.

Drawing from a background in the entertainment industry, Buddhist chaplaincy, and youth advocacy, I offer grounded, compassionate approach to healing. My work combines movement chaplaincy, Earth-based rituals, contemplative practices, and deep listening… to help move from stagnation into meaningful expression.

Last year, I taught meditation and graduate-level group process at the University of the West. I am continually developing mindfulness curricula, including for nonprofits, industry agencies, or bands, and I hold space as a life/death doula. Believing that meditation is not just a refuge but a skill set for clarity, presence, and authentic connection.

As a long-time student of many, I continue to be grateful for George Haas, Aimee Bello, Maggie Lynch, Enrique Collazo, B Anderson, Khalila Gillett, Jitsujo Gauthier, Victor Gabriel, and others. From soft hand to soft hand, I am forever grateful for the teachings of the Buddha.
